After a couple of MCD's here we have the
debut CD of this Italian 3-piece; fast, dismal, good recorded death
metal, with guttural and occasional harsh rasping vocals; the drum parts
are almost always hectic and there're also some slowing downs the way
Incantation have been accustoming us for years. Only "Until
Your Awakening" has a beginning with Middle East sounds that
remind me of Nile a bit, and by reading their bio I find out their lyrics
are about ancient Babylonian and Sumerian deities of the underworld;
interesting choice, but it sounds suspect these times... The attitude
they play brutal death is comparable to Ravager's or Impious's, so prepare
to be choked without mercy, even if more dynamism would have been welcome. | ||||||
