'Inhabitants of Dis'

(Code666 Records)

MARK: 83/100

If you're looking for a remarkable opus of catacomb-sung raw death-black, thanks to the scorching recording at the Sunlight Studio, then you can't find anything better around nowadays. You can also find an acoustic arpeggio with recited vocals in Swedish ("Release"), though, or aggressive instrumental tracks ("Blood Music", "Deceit"), while especially in the song "Dark Trace" you'll realize how low the vocals have been mixed. A further proof that a big care has been given to the quest for different kind of vocals is "City of Dis", in which scratching effected vocals (and great lyrics too) were used.

Extreme, warmongers and apocalyptical, that's what Bloodshed are; get prepared for the judgment day!
